| At Providence, we
believe that the greatest purpose of God's Church is to seek
and save the lost and to reach out to the hurting and broken
hearted when ever and where ever God directs.
Jesus told His
disciples, "As the Father has sent Me, I also send you"
(John 2:20, 21). Furthermore, He anointed them with
the same Spirit that He received and gave them the Great
Commission: "Go therefore and make disciples of all
nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father and of the
Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all
things that I have commanded you" (Matthew 28:19, 20)
Can His directive for
us be any clearer?
Biblical purposes are
eternal: Evangelism, Fellowship, Disciples, Ministry,
